  • Pergamus

We didn’t have much time in Pergamus but here is an ancient
temple to the Egyptian gods which was built right over the river.  Its tunnels and some of its underground
    passageways are still viable today.

A common sight in Turkey – hand-woven carpets.

At what was then the world’s most famous health center, the Asclepieum,
patients were forbidden to die (it was illegal).  Various hydrotherapy treatments were
    employed.

  • wow check out those carpets!! =D

  • Wow, so if death were illegal and you died, then you could risk getting thrown in jail, huh? Now that’s pretty serious, I’d say! Maybe that scared people into staying alive!

  • Man sounds like you had an awesome trip. Love your pictures too. I got to go sometime.

  • WOW… such amazing trip, so neat that you’ve been able to go and see such incredible sites. So Bulgarian seams to be very similar to Russia, I kinda of understood the NBeg. words. Hope to hear more from you’re time in Turkey. You got amazing pix and I totaly love them one of the girl with green eyes, like the National Geographic pix. Well kit and God bless as you enjoy the rest of you’re summer.
